Accounts

Parish councils are empowered to raise money for their activities through a tax, known as the Precept, levied on village residents and collected on their behalf by the borough council as an addition to the District and County Council Tax. This is then paid to the parish council. This, together with a double taxation payment forms the core of the parish council's income. In the financial year 2022/23 our precept is £4,250.

The Clerk is the Responsible Financial Officer for the parish council, and as such provides a full list of income and expenditure at each council meeting which is duly approved by councillors and included within the final published minutes.
